Topic: ​Jean Baptiste Laugeay and the 1st Fourth of July Fireworks

Speaker:  Dr. Denruth Lougeay

I discovered during intensive research for 15 years that Jean Baptiste Laugeay was THE fireworker who did the FIRST fireworks on the FIRST Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia in 1777….and a direct ancestor of my husband.


Classes on genealogy, family history, media/technology, and computer skills are held at 9 am (PT) on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of most months except January, September, and December.  Classes are designed for a variety of interests and ability levels and are often used as a refresher.

The Zoom link will be sent to registrants a few days before the meeting.


Registration will open about a month in advance.

The public is welcome to register and attend.
