Meetings of the San Diego Genealogical Society are held on the second Saturday of each month, except December. Most meetings are held at
St. Andrew's Lutheran Church

Meetings begin at 10 a.m. with guest speakers from throughout Southern California and include two presentations on topics of interest to genealogists and family historians of all levels. The meetings, which are free and open to the public, include refreshments and a discussion of Society business. Beginners are always welcome.
All-day Seminars are not held at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church - check the SDGS calendar of events for program topics and to confirm the date, time and location of meetings.
Genealogy Research Trips
Each year the San Diego Genealogical Society sponsors special trips to major genealogical research locations and conferences. Destinations include
These trips provide access to unique genealogical resources. Participation affords the opportunity to socialize with fellow Society members and get fresh perspectives on your genealogical research problems. Participants frequently report significant research progress from these research trips.

The Society typically sponsors two all-day genealogy seminars each year, one in conjunction with the Annual Meeting in January and one in the fall. Nationally known genealogists provide a full day of genealogy education. There is an additional fee for these seminars and registration is required.
